If you are missing many or all of your teeth, you may be a good candidate for implant overdentures. This dental prosthetic is very similar to a denture in that it replaces the missing teeth. The difference is that the implant overdenture, while still removable, is more stable than a regular removable denture. Implant overdentures do not require sticky adhesives to hold them in place. The overdenture is secured to dental implants, providing unsurpassed stability for your dentures. No more worry about your dentures becoming loose or falling out when you are speaking or eating.

There are several types of implant overdentures. They can replace both full dentures or partial dentures. One type of overdenture rests on the gums and is held in place by the implants. The other type rests on the implants alone.

Implant Retained Dentures

Though they can be used in both upper and lower jaws for people who are missing all their teeth, the implant retained overdenture is most often used for the lower jaw. Lower dentures tend to be less stable than those on the upper jaw. Implant retained overdentures eliminate that issue by providing unmatched stability.

Whether used on upper or lower jaws, the implants are strategically located to hold the overdenture securely in place. At least two implants are needed, and often four are used in this procedure. The overdenture is on a bar, and this framework is screwed to the implants. Implant retained dentures give you a secure, natural smile.

Implant Supported Dentures

This type of denture is similar to the implant retained dentures, except for being removable by the patient, and they rest on the gums. They’re attached to the implants with retentive devices which snap into place.

When you are missing several or all of your teeth, implant overdentures can provide you with a more youthful appearance. They also make eating easier and healthier since they provide the much-needed chewing surfaces. Implant overdentures also give you the assurance that you can eat all your favorite foods without the worry of your dentures dislodging or collecting bits of food underneath, causing discomfort.

I came to check their facility in Elk Grove, I called the 1899 number and the lady upfront was very nice and she scheduled me for free implant consult and when i reached their i was thrilled as facility was very modern, I got my CT scan done, no charge, whereas my oral surgeon in Sacramento wants to do it for $300 and dentist was very young, I was skeptical at first and I spoke to their other patients in the reception area and all say good things about him, I got my quote for 3 dental implants which is price of 1 dental implant from my oral surgeon here in downtown Sacramento. Go check them out they are good .
